Once a squirrel in Austin Garden
Crossed the iron fence,
He reached the side-walk and ran away
Through the Oak Park busy lane
#
He climbed up a big Oak tree
Gazing an apartment flat,
Then jumped on a window pane
And saw a mommy cat
Playing in the kitchen
With her two little kittens;
There was scattered plenty food
Yet to be eaten.
##
He was hungry, so knocked the glass,
But nobody opened the pane;
So, he got down from the tree----
Then ready to return again
To the garden where he lives;
As such, he traced his way
Back to the fence from where he leaped
And quietly ran away.
He crossed the road, hopped the fence,
Reached his sweety den,
And found a little girl in the park
Waiting to feed him grain.
Hats off to your imagination
