FALL SEASON IN CHICAGO
October is the month of fall
When the autumn gives her call
To the wind, to blow at its top
So that the leaves fly and drop
Colour of leaves change from green
To golden yellow, and a light shade of cream
Then it turns to orange and red
With a tinge of light violet
Does nature have a long paint brush?
She colors the leaves with sudden rush
Then wipes out the canvas by maddening breeze
The trees stand naked along the ridge
Parks look barren without any shades
Dry brown leaves cover grass blades
Deserted trees stand on the roads
With a heap of sigh; grace unload
Halloween days are knocking at the door
The evil spirits are away with a roar
Boys and girls with colorful dress
Out on the road with festive craze
If autumn comes, can winter be behind?
The chilly days with white snow lined
Will bring the Christmas days of joy----
In festive mood we all enjoy
